This week: the figure explains itself, a fuller guide and a quicker desk

Three things this week: new tools around the figure, a guide that has grown, and a desk that answers faster.

New this week

The figure says what it was not told. Under a valuation, the panel This number is only as good as what you told us lists the questions left unanswered, largest first, with what each answer is worth.

Your comparables, your figure. Press CHOOSE THE CLOSEST COMPARABLES and tick the ones you stand behind. The page shows what your judgement is worth and, where the evidence splits into two markets, asks which is yours. Press Done — save and that figure is exactly the one on your report. Agent plan and above.

The same on the desk and on your phone. Open a property on the Portfolio Desk, or on the phone desk: the same panels and picker are there, and no credit is used. Save PDF and Print on an opened property now produce the report.

“Complete package” suggests house or flat. It reads the Catastro and proposes the type of each dwelling for you to confirm; garages and storerooms are no longer taken for homes. NPL Pro.

Amounts, your way. Figures read “€291,000” in English and “291.000 €” in Spanish, and since 8 October you can type them either way: “450.000” and “450,000” both mean four hundred and fifty thousand. If you typed an amount or a surface with a thousands mark before that date (“450.000”, or “1.200” m²), it may have been read as a decimal: a quick look at those figures on your desk is worth it.

Also: the Market Map is back at full strength and draws Spain itself, province by province; a house with no plot size on file is now marked No plot size.

The guide, upgraded

“Show me how” covers the new tools. The guided walkthrough, at the top of the screen, has six new steps: it ticks comparables in the new picker, reads the new panels and explains the plot-size mark. This week it was also run from start to finish and corrected where it stumbled. In English or in Spanish.

A more responsive desk

The desk answers faster. The property list opens quicker and saving a change is quicker too. Saving your comparables from inside a property keeps it open, and a very large portfolio arrives in pages, with Load more for the rest.
